I like your idea. I'd just try to have the hand a bot more focused as well and I'd try to do sth about the overexposure in the cigarette.

Idea is nice., I agree about the OE and the sharpness. but I think youll go far

raw development , my raw picture was well exposed ( no overexposure)

may you explain what you mean with a bit more focused/ sharpness ?
(it is focused on a level with the right ring, with apperture 2.8
and because of this it has a very small DoF)

About the exposure it looks slight overexposed to me.

About the focus i realy think it could be sharper, the focus looks a bit off as there is no element realy sharp on the photo

This has the makings of a classic image..
I am good with the focus, the only crit is that the girls nails are not all perfect. perfect as in the same length, so I would spend time cloning then especially the small finger..

Otherwise its a great image...

IMO the focus should be on the cigarette and looks spot on to me. The over-exposure is part of the deal in this kind of shots. There is not too much of it here to distract. Excellent work.
